Stephen Miller returns to Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama as the organization's Senior Unit Director.

After three years of poor attendance and declining program quality at the Jaycee Park Unit, Stephen's return is a greatly welcomed event. Mr. Miller brings an impressive set of qualifications along and will immediately improve the professionalism and competence of this position.

Stephen was recently named The Southeast Region's 2004 Youth of the Year. After enrolling at the University of Alabama, he sought to further his Boys & Girls Clubs experience and joined our staff as a Youth Programs Specialist.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy recently released its annual "Philanthropy 400 List." For the 11th consecutive year, Boys & Girls Clubs of America is ranked No. 1 among all youth nonprofits and moved up three positions to No. 12 among all nonprofits. The list, measuring private support, reported gifts to the national organization and local Clubs totaling $501 million in 2003.

The RICKEY HARRISON 10K Run.

In a joint effort, Tuscaloosa Track Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama held a race honoring the memory of Rickey Harrison. Over 100 runners participated in this First Annual run. Due to the huge success, it will become an annual event.
